ICMI Congress - July 13-17, 2026 - Montreal, Canada

ICMI Congress

Emelyne Lécuyer, researcher at the PhAN research unit, was delighted to present the first findings of their project at ICMI 2026 Congress in Montreal, a leading international conference bringing together the mucosal immunology community.

Their preliminary findings show that advanced maternal age influences immune development starting from fetal life, with effects that may persist into adulthood and alter susceptibility to inflammatory bowel diseases.

It was a great opportunity to share their work, receive valuable feedback from international experts, and discuss new perspectives on how intestinal mucosal immunity is shaped during early life.

An important milestone for the PhAN research unit (INRAE - Nantes University), and a sincere thank you to everyone involved in moving this project forward. The project team are also grateful to the Pays de la Loire Region for its continued support, which makes this research possible.
