Welcome to Aurélie Durand

Aurélie Durand joined our Phan UMR as an engineer in February 2026 as part of Emelyne Lécuyer's projects, looking at how the gestational environment impacts the establishment of immune-microbial symbiosis with long-term consequences for the descendants.

She graduated with a Master’s degree in Genomics and Proteomics from the University of Lille in 2015. From 2016 to 2018, she obtained a position as a Research engineer in an Inserm team unit at Strasbourg. Her project focused on the characterization of cell lines from patients affected by pediatric brain tumors.
Joining the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology (IBMC) in Strasbourg, Aurélie worked on Charcot’s disease looking at how translation initiation impairment. At the end of 2020, Aurelie had the opportunity to gain experience in Canada and obtained a position as a Research agent at the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) in Montreal, working with Dr. Sauvageau's team. Her work focused on characterizing compounds targeting various subtypes of acute myeloid leukemia.
In spring 2024, coming back to France, Aurelie obtained a position as a Research Engineer at the Mediterranean Center for Molecular Medicine (C3M) in Nice. She studied the impact of heterozygous mutations in a patient with sideroblastic anemia.
Finally, she joined our Phan UMR in February 2026 as part of Emelyne Lécuyer's projects, looking at how the gestational environment impacts the establishment of immune-microbial symbiosis with long-term consequences for the descendants.
