The 11th meeting of the Placental Francophonie Group (GFP)

From 28 May 2026 to 29 May 2026

Paris

The 11th meeting of the Placental Francophonie Group (GFP) will take place at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Paris on May 28-29, 2026. The aim of this symposium is to promote research on the placenta and associated obstetric disorders, to facilitate international French-speaking collaborations, and to encourage scientific and methodological exchanges in this field. This year, the GFP will offer two full days of lectures, seminars, and discussion sessions, bringing together researchers, academics, and clinicians specializing in the placenta and pregnancy-related diseases to discuss the latest scientific and medical advances in this area. Véronique Ferchaud-Roucher, a researcher at the UMR 1280 PhAN, has been invited to give a plenary lecture on placental physiology in the context of maternal obesity. The title of her presentation is “Maternal obesity alters the metabolism of phospholipids, ether lipids, and plasmalogens containing LCPUFAs in the human placenta: Fetal sex-specific differences.”
